OUS is institution which has years-long experience in adult education and life-long learning process through organization of education, courses, seminars, workshops, trainings, public debates, research activities and creation of strategic documents. Programs and projects of our institution emphasize especially constant education, cultural cooperation and networking, (self) engagement and (self) employment, community engagement, experience exchange and knowledge transfer, ideas and initiatives of sustainable development and different contents of (inter)national cooperation. Promoting the concept of lifelong learning, OUS offers a wide spectrum of educational contents and forms to users from various social groups. Open university is acknowledged as research & development organization which is constantly developing (inter)national projects and generates initiatives and innovations in different fields. Several different fields are targeted within projects that OUS is implementing such as: adult education, employment, entrepreneurship, SMEs, innovations, culture, tourism, environment protection and organic production.

The Provincial Secretariat for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation, and Local Self-Government

The Provincial Secretariat for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation, and Local Self-Government, in accordance with the law and the Statute, performs the tasks of provincial administration in the field of regional development and plays a significant role in enhancing regional development and strengthening cooperation with other regions. It actively works on the preparation and implementation of strategic documents aimed at the balanced development of Vojvodina, as well as on the establishment and support of organizations dedicated to regional progress.

Additionally, the Secretariat initiates and maintains relations with territorial communities of other countries, participates in international regional associations, and coordinates activities within European and global networks. A significant part of its activities is focused on supporting local self-governments in the implementation of projects funded by EU funds, as well as on improving conditions for the development of local communities.

The Secretariat also monitors and supports the harmonization of legislative acts, provides expert opinions, and coordinates processes related to the work of local self-governments. Through its activities, it contributes to strengthening the capacities of local and regional authorities, creating a solid foundation for sustainable development and a better quality of life for the citizens of Vojvodina.
